Where Can I Sell My Sculptures Online?

The life of an artist is turning a deeply personal, intangible vision into tangible form for others to love. From an artist’s perspective, there is something incredibly special about the ability to share your passion, talent and vision with others in a way that touches them. There is true joy and gratitude in having others appreciate work that originates from your heart and soul. An invisible spiritual bond is created between the artist and the admirer. For the admirer, art can elevate the tone of our environment and provide a beautiful respite from our busy lives.

At the all new eSculpture social shopping platform, it is our purpose to support and nurture the relationship between artist and art lover. We are assembling a global community of amazing 3D artists with the goal of becoming their go-to spot for networking and sales on the internet. We want artists to be able to purchase supplies, open a free online art gallery, and list items to sell in minutes. Art lovers can become fans of their favorite artists as well as purchase art, create collections and research ideas.

Sculpture from AllSculptures.com Appears In Super Bowl Ad

This year’s Super Bowl attracted 111.5 million viewers around the world. It was the most watched Super Bowl game in history, with 30-second spots costing advertisers an average of $4 million. Participating companies had a huge investment in getting their message right. With this in mind, powerhouse production company, MJZ, turned to AllSculptures.com to assist with a prop for their commercial, Wonderful Pistachios- Part 1.

The commercial, starring TV personality, Stephen Colbert, features a replica of the iconic, white marble “Discus Thrower” sculpture anchoring the back-right corner of the scene. The scale of the statue, as well as the stark contrast of the white marble against the dark, wood-paneled walls, perfectly balances the aesthetics of the set.

Although this is the first Super Bowl commercial AllSculptures.com has participated in, we are not new to the scene. With a unique and extensive selection of sculptures and home decor, AllSculptures.com has been a source for many set designers on TV shows and movies, most recently on the TV show “Grimm”.

When filming a movie, TV show, or commercial, often the final version of a scene will be determined with little time to spare before shooting. This sometimes leaves set designers scrambling to find the perfect props to complete an artistic vision. Over the years, AllSculptures.com has worked with many set designers and often become the go-to source when a designer is in need of a unique piece on short notice. We are always more than happy to provide ideas that work with a particular style, timeframe and budget. It is not always easy, but very rewarding for us at the end of the day to see how our products are used in creative productions.

How To Clean And Repair Sandicast Dog Statues

We get a lot of questions about how to keep Sandicast Dog Statues looking their best, so we thought we would share the manufacturer’s cleaning and minor repair tips with you here:

General Cleaning:

While Sandicast statues are pretty maintenance free, you can dust them with a soft, clean, dry paint brush to get into any cracks and crevices. If you feel you need to do more than this, you can use a slightly damp, soft cloth (such as a terry washcloth or microfiber cloth) to gently remove any remaining dust or dirt. This will probably be the extent of the cleaning process for most people if you are keeping the statues indoors and out of the elements.

If your statue has gotten really dirty, you may want to use a very small amount of mild, colorless soap with your damp cloth for WHITE PARTS ONLY. Be very careful to avoid shaded or painted areas if using any type of soap.

Another idea is to use any type of clear acrylic floor wax, which you can mix in a ratio of one part floor wax to two parts water. To put it simply, use twice as much water as floor wax. You can mix this in a spray bottle if you’d like or you can just apply it with a paintbrush, and then wipe off with a soft cloth. The floor wax contains a mild solvent which will loosen any dirt, and also contains wax which will return some of the original luster to your statue. The reason you need to use more water than wax is because too much wax will cause your statue to get too shiny so try not to go overboard!

How To Repair Chips:

Even the best of us have mishaps, as well as children, pets and clumsy friends and relatives, right? So what can you do to repair chips or broken parts? First, you can unbend a paperclip and use the sharp end of it to texture the hairline if you need to. For larger chips, it is good to first file the area with a nail file/emery board and then etch into the hairline with the paperclip. To glue the broken parts back or to fill in small gaps, the best thing to use is good old super glue. Other options are super bonder or 5 minute epoxy.

How To Touch Up the Paint:

You do not need a special paint kit to repair most minor paint imperfections. You can try matching art paints, felt tip markers or pens, or magic markers to get the desired result.  The key is to start out slow and easy by dabbing very small amounts of color so that you can make sure the paint matches and will give you your desired result. If not, then wipe it off with a soft cloth or paper towel as quickly as possible and try something else until you get the color to blend the way you want it.

We hope that you have found these tips helpful! If your statue is damaged beyond repair, however, then you can always visit us at AllSculptures.com for a full selection of new Sandicast Dog Statues!

Garden Statues for Spring!

Spring is just around the corner and it is a great time to think about beautifying your outdoor living space with a few intriguing garden statues and planters. AllSculptures.com offers a tremendous variety of garden statues to suit every taste, style and budget. This post will focus on our Fiberstone garden statues and outdoor decor, which you can customize to your liking in several different finishes.

What is Fiberstone you ask? It is a blend of sand and stone cast into a fiberglass backing which has the look of aged stone, but is less prone to breakage. It is about a quarter the weight of concrete, meaning it is still substantial enough to withstand outdoor weather conditions, but can be moved much more easily than concrete; this is a great advantage just in case you don’t have several bodybuilders standing by to move your pieces around the garden! Since our Fiberstone statues are made to order in your choice of custom finish, it is a great idea to order early since spring is the busiest time for production due to high demand.

We offer so many different types of Fiberstone pieces for the outdoors that it’s impossible to mention them all here. Every subject matter from classical Greek to adorable animals to serene angels can be found on our site. We have soothing fountains, gorgeous planters for your colorful spring flowers, and garden benches where you can sit and admire your hard work! Please browse our site, AllSculptures.com to see all the wonderful garden decor we have to offer!

Introducing Murano Glass at AllSculptures.com!

We are always in search of exciting new product lines to offer our customers and are proud to announce that AllSculptures.com now carries gorgeous Murano Glass. This exquisite glassware is hand-blown in Murano, Italy, which is home to some of the world’s most incredibly talented glass artisans. The line includes a variety of pieces including sculptures of course, but also fine decor pieces such as vases, centerpiece bowls, and decorative bottles.  The craftsmanship is truly something to behold!

Murano Glass comes in a dazzling array of colors, including the amazing and difficult to achieve Calcedonia glass, for which the technique was developed in the mid-fifteenth century but temporarily lost during the fall of the Venetian Republic. Thankfully, the painstaking process was rediscovered; it involves adding silver nitrate to produce unique colored striations within the glass. The chemical reaction, which cannot be entirely artistically controlled, results in a unique, one-of-a-kind piece of art. We are including some examples of Calcedonia glass for you to see in this post, but we also invite you to visit the AllSculptures.com Murano Glass page to view the whole collection which includes many other styles and colors!  Each piece is brand new, first quality, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Yardbirds Metal Animal Sculptures

Today, AllSculptures.com is spotlighting our Yardbirds Metal Animal Sculptures which are created by Kentucky artist, Richard Kolb. He and his father began crafting sculptures out of scrap metal materials twenty years ago just for fun. However, the reaction to them was so great that they made it into a business and have been creating much loved artwork ever since. Many collectors of their work enjoy identifying the metal parts used to make each piece, which can include things such as garden tools, bike chains and car parts. They feel good that they are also helping the environment by saving various metal parts from ending up in landfills. Each piece is unique and whimsical, and most of all will make you smile! So please visit AllSculptures.com’s Yardbirds web page and see what adorable creations we have to offer. In addition to the Yardbirds sculptures, we also carry their adorable pet feeders, leash holders, wine caddies and much more!
