Seth Vandable

Seth Vandable

Born and raised in central Texas, Seth Vandable began his career as a commercial artist and illustrator. In 1988, he resigned from his position as Art Director for the "Alert Texan" magazine to devote his full attention to fine art. His masterful rendering of the human form soon won him numerous commissions as a painter and sculptor. These commissions ranged from portraits to 400 sq. foot elaborate wall murals which can be seen in hospitals, restaurants and fitness centers throughout the United States.

Currently, Vandable resides with his wife in eastern Texas, north of Dallas, and is working as a professional sculptor. His detailed working knowledge of the human muscular and skeletal systems is unsurpassed. Classical style, intricate detail and dramatic impact on the viewer are identifying marks of a Vandable sculpture, and make them eagerly pursued by collectors the world over. Vandable strives to capture the essence of humanity in work - balancing human potential with mortality in a way that is both thought provoking and inspirational. His current commissions include a bas-relief sculpture for the new children's area at the Boulder Community Hospital, as well as public installments in Loveland, Colorado and Austin, Texas.
