Hello,
I am new to collecting Armani sculptures and wanted to get some opinions. I know Guiseppe Armani died in 06 and obviously there will not be any new pieces in the future. Any suggestions on what you would consider must haves or what you believe what will increase the greatest in value over time.

Thanks,
Jack

Hello Jack,

Welcome to the group! I have been a collector of sculptures for over 30 years. Trying to bank on a future return on investment is very tough. I have had some pieces that have way out performed many of my stocks. I have also had some go the other way. What is hot or trendy today may not be next year.

I would first buy a sculpture because you like it you are ultimately going to be looking at it for a long time. If you are going to collect a particular sculptor or artist try to get the finest and rariest examples of his or her work.
If you are looking at Armani go with the limited editions and go for the more expensive usually larger examples. They would tend to increase more over time. I hope that helps-Sam

I would have to second what Sam has said, from what I have read "Three Graces" was the last limited edition release by Armani before his death http://www.allsculptures.com/proddetail.php?prod=1256C. I would think this would be a safe bet.
