I bought the above sculpt last Saturday without knowing alot about it from an Antique Dealer.

When I got home and researched her I realised that she is a gymnast (not dancer as I thought) and that she is damaged or missing a part. The ring that she is supposed to have adjoined to her foot and hand is missing.

A seller has the same figurine (complete) for sale on eBay for US$470- how much would the missing ring devalue my one.

Also the picture they have the figurine has brown shoes mine has pale blue. Would the show colour have changed throughout the issue?

Are Lladro figurine copied and faked?

She has what appears to be all the right markings on the base.

I will take photos tomorrow- too late now would require the flash and they wont work

Thanks for any help you can give me

Leanne :D

Hello Leanne,

Welcome to the forum, if you go to the Lladro website you should be able to see the different markings on the base to identify her. If you are questioning it being genuine your local LLadro retailer should be able to help. If your item is broken or missing pieces the value of it is drastically reduced. There are companies out there that do repairs and can reproduce missing parts. With out seeing the piece I would guess it would be worth 1/3 of the market value.
I hope that helps

Annie
