Hi! I have had probably 15-20 small "woodlike" material that is spirits/faces. The size averages approx 2" some of the names are "wikin' blikin' nod. I cant think of other names but some are "windblown facial hair, grumpy face. I have had these appox 10-12 years and would love to have some info on them! Can anyone help??

Mill Creek Studios began their business in 1989 with the collection in which you are referring. The collection was called KNOT KNOGGINS. Stephen Herrero was the only artist, if I remember correctly. He carved mostly mountain men, but there were some Native Americans, clowns, rustic santas, and female subjects, too. They did a fantastic job reproducing the original wood carvings to look like real wood (they were cast in resin). I have 3 of them and still enjoy them 20 years later! Some other titles of pieces I recall are: Yule, Yukon, Caleb, Hogan, Berry, Whim, Leah, Lone Wolf, Yosemite, OMalley, Shorty, and Rusty. (Ebay seems to have some of these listed from time to time, if anyone wants to see them go there.) Over the years, Mill Creek has evolved their style and subjects. For over 15 years, they have been producing mainly wildlife subjects that have the appearance of being carved in stone. I truly enjoy both styles (the wood and rock carved).
